The Hudson Fire Department is currently accepting applications for part time EMT's to fill
additional as needed slots. Part time EMT's typically work weekend shifts or fill full time
vacancies due to illness, vacations, etc.

Additionally, we anticipate having one or more full time positions open in the near future. Full
time positions are normally filled from our part time roster.

Requirements:
  • State of Illinois EMT-B or higher licensure
  • Valid State of Illinois driver's license
  • Current active status with the MCAEMS system (or ability to pass admission testing)
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR

The Hudson Fire Department maintains a BLS ambulance staffed 24/7. EMT's typically work 24
hours shifts and stay at the fire station. Our service area is primarily rural and includes 2 lakes,
several parks and recreation areas, summer camps, and approximately 7 miles of interstate 39.

The Hudson Fire Department also houses the MABAS Division 41 Dive team. Call types are
varied and challenging and we average about 200 runs a year.

Hudson Community Fire Protection District

The Hudson Community Fire Protection District serves the Village of Hudson, Illinois and surrounding areas, including Lake Bloomington and much of Comlara Park/Lake Evergreen. The HCFPD is also a part of the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System and houses the MABAS 41 Underwater Recovery Team
